Various Salt Spreaders

The engines below can work on salt spreaders depending on whether you need a fuel tank or not and what your shaft size is. You can also change your pulley or sprocket to use the engine with the 3/4" keyed shaft on it. Some of the engines listed below have stationary throttles on them which mean that they run at full speed, 3600 RPMs. Others have an adjustable throttle on them. You need to decide how yours needs to be before ordering anything. If your spreader setup is independent of the vehicle and has its own battery and powers the electric PTO clutch (as some Myers/Buyers units do), you will need to purchase an engine with at least a 9 Amp Alternator.
