You will have to pull the rod that currently hinges the hood at the front and install our adapter plate to this. Our adapter plate will raise the height of the hood by 2" in the front so it helps to clear the valve covers. However it will not clear the valve covers unless you can flex your hood out a little, or you cut your hood to allow it to fit down over the valve covers. The cut to the hood would be approx 1" tall and 4" across.

Currently on our frame there was an adapter plate welded on that was 1" x 9" long and spot welded in three places. If you remove this plate the cut to the hood would not be as high.

A new pump bracket will be provided with this kit to allow the engine to slide back toward the steering column a little bit more and the front shaft to achieve the same location as the original engine did. You will also receive a new Lovejoy coupler for the shaft of the engine.
