This has a 3/4" x 2-5/16" shaft. The newer Overhead valve style engines are about 2" wider than the HSSK50 engine toward the right side as you are facing the crankshaft. Due to this width difference on that side of the engine, it will sometimes interfere with the chute control rod especially if your control chute rod is high and close to the engine. The control chute rod is high on this snow blower and may have to be dropped down to clear the wider engine. If you can adjust your chute control rod, then one of the ohv engines listed here should work for you.
