Some of the models used were Kawasaki 12.5hp FB460, Briggs 8hp, and Briggs 253707. You can use pretty much any L-Head Briggs engine as long as you have a 9 amp or larger alternator to run the electric clutch (if you have one). If the mower had a tank on the left side of the engine you cannot use an OHV engine because the muffler would be in the way
