One of the original specs on these were 24106, in which no engine or shortblock is available for it any longer. Another spec was 24197 in which the 5252298 shortblock will fit it. A shortblock is available for the 24351 spec, it is 5252298. You could use a M18S-24696 18hp Kohler Magnum and use a toggle switch to ground the engine. You would still use your key switch to start it, you just couldn't use it to kill it. The shaft dimensions are the same as the M18S-24696. You could use your muffler and flywheel adapter off of your original engine.
