Bobcat 724-5 Snow Blower Category

Original Model: Briggs 7 hp 170402-1406

This engine had a 1" x 3" shaft on it. The original engine is no longer made. The newer overhead valve engines are about 2" wider than the L-head style engine toward the right side as you are looking at the shaft side. The shaft height to base is 1" lower. However, a spacer kit can be installed to lift the engine up one inch. The 20D414-0019 engine has the same shaft size and the same mounting. Also the Tecumseh LH358XA-159537-R-SK has the same mounting and shaft size but the physical size will be different.
