In addition to the larger three wire harness on this engine you will receive a short pigatil (pictured below) that will plug right into this.
The Red wire coming off of the pigtail is the 12 volt wire to charge the battery
The orange female connector will hook up to the brown wire which is the fuel solenoid.
The orange wire with the male connector must have 12 volts hooked up to it that are hot when you turn the key on and go dead when the key is turned off.
All engines do not have the same wiring setups
The large brown wire with the shield around it will NOT be used. This wiring was for the Briggs "Powerlink" generator which they no longer make. Just disregard it and tape it up.
If your engine does not have a solenoid on the starter you can bypass this one by adding a jumper wire from the spade on the solenoid to the large post on the outside of it and connect your starter wire to it also.
