Some of the original specs on these were 24106, 24312, 24351, in which no engine or shortblock is available for the 24106 any longer. The 5252298 shortblock is available for the 24312 & 24351 specs You could use a M18S-24696 18hp Kohler Magnum and use a toggle switch to ground the engine. You would still use your key switch to start it, you just couldn't use it to kill it. The shaft dimensions are the same as the M18S-24696. You could use your muffler and flywheel adapter off of your original engine. The conversion kit that we made for the QT17 tractor might fit in this as well
